NFL Week 13 Lock Picks

Who wins when Philadelphia battles struggling Cincinnati this Sunday? On Dec. 4, can Los Angeles bounce back from a terrible defensive game versus offensive juggernaut New England? How will sunshine state teams Tampa Bay and San Diego fair in their clash in Cali?

Philadelphia at Cincinnati
When:  Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
TV: FOX
Odds: Philadelphia -2.5

Analysis: Philadelphia had another bad game this past Monday night. Green Bay, who had lost 5 in a row, stepped it up on defense versus rookie Carson Wentz. The Packers beat the Eagles 27 to 13. But Philadelphia faces a much worse off team than Green Bay on Dec. 4.

Cincinnati is 3-7-1 straight p and against the spread this season. To make matters worse, the Bengals could be without top wide receiver A.J. Green again. Philly should add to Cincy’s woes with a strong bounce back victory in Week 13.

Week 13 Lock Pick: Philadelphia

Los Angeles at New England
When:  Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
TV: FOX
Odds: New England -13

Analysis: The last thing the Los Angeles Rams wanted to see was the New England Patriots on their schedule after surrendering 49 points to the Saints in the Superdome in Week 12. The Rams’ defense couldn’t stop anything that New Orleans’ tried to do.

New England and Tom Brady struggled to a 22 to 17 win over the New York Jets in Week 12. Brady should be healthier this Sunday versus L.A. The Rams’ offense is terrible. I like New England to cover the spread.

Week 13 Lock Pick: New England

Tampa Bay at San Diego
When:  Sunday, Dec. 4 at 4:25 pm ET
Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA
TV: FOX
Odds: San Diego -4

Analysis: If Tampa’s defense continues to play as well as it has, the Buccaneers could definitely make it to the NFC Playoffs. There aren’t a lot of good teams in the NFC this season. But, Tampa has it tough versus San Diego on the road this week.

If the Chargers were in the NFC, they’d be one of the top teams. Too bad that they play in the AFC West, one of the strongest divisions in football. Versus Tampa, the Bolts shouldn’t have much trouble. Like Tampa’s D, San Diego’s D has stepped it up in recent weeks as well.

I’ll side with the home team with the veteran QB. That’s San Diego.
