NFL Week 13 ATS Betting Picks

What: Arizona Cardinals (9-2) at St. Louis Rams (4-7)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Saint Louis, MO
Stadium: Edward Jones Dome
Weather: N/A
Spread: Cardinals -5.5
Moneyline: Arizona -265 vs St. Louis +200
Game Total: 43
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Arizona vs St. Louis

One of Arizona’s only 2 losses was to St. Louis in Week 4 of the season. These two teams have definitely gone the other way with Arizona winning 6 out of their last 7 after that game and St. Louis losing 5 out of their last 7 after that game. Arizona is on a roll. It’s hard to see the Cardinals giving it up to a St. Loui team that appears to have quit on their coach.

Pick: Arizona

What: Carolina Panthers (11-0) at New Orleans Saints (4-7)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: New Orleans, LA
Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Weather: N/A
Spread: Panthers -7
Moneyline: Carolina -315 vs New Orleans +230
Game Total: 49.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Carolina vs New Orleans

New Orleans has thrown in the towel. How else to explain a 24 to 6 loss to Houston after a bye week?  Did the Saints even practice? Carolina will continue to win because the entire team, all the way to the coaching staff, doesn’t understand what it means to be undefeated. The Panthers are one of the few teams in the NFL that actually does play week to week. There is no way that New Orleans’ defense can stop Cam Newton and the Carolina offense.  Plus, Saints’ Coach Sean Payton already has one foot out the door.

Pick: Carolina

What: San Francisco 49ers (3-8) at Chicago Bears (5-6)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Chicago, IL
Stadium: Soldier Field
Weather: 46° F | Scattered Clouds
Spread: Bears -7
Moneyline: San Francisco +225 vs Chicago -300
Game Total: 43
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: San Francisco vs Chicago

This is what happens when you hire a defensive -minded coach (talking to you, New Orleans!) with head coaching experience, the defense gets markedly better. Wow. Who would have thought?

Chicago’s defense is ranked second in passing yards allowed per game. That’s amazing considering how bad the D was in 2014. Good job John Fox. Not only that but the Bears are also only 2 games behind Minnesota for the lead in the NFC North. They’re one game behind the rival Packers for a wildcard spot.

Pick: Chicago

NFL Week 13 Game Total Over/Under Betting Picks

What: NY Jets (6-5) at NY Giants (5-6)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: East Rutherford, NJ
Stadium: MetLife Stadium
Weather: 53° F | Scattared Clouds
Spread: Jets -1
Moneyline: NY Jets -120 vs NY Giants +100
Game Total: 45
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: NY Jets vs NY Giants

The Jets turned things around big time when beating the Dolphins 38 to 20 in Week 12. It could be a sign that the Jets’ offense is going to start scoring points again. The Jets face a tough defense in the Giants who yielded only 27 points to New England 3 weeks ago and gave up only 20 to Washington in Week 12. This game will be different. The Giants give up the most yards in the NFL to the pass.

Pick: Over

What: Houston Texans (6-5) at Buffalo Bills (5-6)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Buffalo, NY
Stadium: Ralph Wilson Stadium
Weather: 47° F | Scattered Clouds
Spread: Bills -3
Moneyline: Houston +125 vs Buffalo -162
Game Total: 41.5
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Houston vs Buffalo

The Texans have won 5 out of their last 6 games. They’re tied with the Colts for the lead in the AFC South. Houston QB Brian Hoyer has a 94.4 QB rating. He’s had QB ratings of 100 or better in 5 out of the 8 games in which he’s played. Buffalo’s defense yields a ridiculous 23 points per game. Houston could go for 30 in this while Buffalo is good for at least 14.

Pick: Over

What: Green Bay Packers (7-4) at Detroit Lions (4-7)
When: Thursday, December 3, 2015
Kickoff: 8:25 PM ET
Where: Detroit, MI
Stadium: Ford Field
Weather: N/A
Spread: Packers -3
Moneyline: Green Bay -182 vs Detroit +150
Game Total: 47
Watch: CBS/NFL
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Green Bay vs Detroit

Maybe, the problem in Green Bay is QB Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has had only 1 game of a 100 QB rating or higher in his last 8. That’s terrible for what many regard as the top quarterback in the NFL. To make matters worse for the Packers, the putrid offense faces a Detroit defense that hasn’t given up more than 16 points in 3 straight games since its bye. The Lions also took down the Packers 18 to 16 at Lambeau 3 games ago. This thing goes under big time.

Pick: Under

NFL Week 13 Straight Up Moneyline Betting Picks

What: Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) at Tennessee Titans (2-9)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Nashville, TN
Stadium: Nissan Stadium
Weather: 57° F | More Sun Than Clouds
Spread: Titans -2.5
Moneyline: Jacksonville +110 vs Tennessee -135
Game Total: 43
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Jacksonville vs Tennessee

It’s tough to back either team in this game, right? Then again, Tennessee’s defense is much better than Jacksonville’s against the pass. Tennessee’s defense allows 224.1 passing yards per game. Jacksonville’s defense is giving up 266.2 passing yards per game via the pass. The first game ended with a 19 to 13 Jacksonville win. You have to figure that Mariota and the Tennessee D will turn the tables on the Jaguars in this game.

Pick: Tennessee

What: Atlanta Falcons (6-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Tampa, FL
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium
Weather: 81° F | A Mixture of Sun and Clouds
Spread: Buccaneers -2.5
Moneyline: Atlanta +110 vs Tampa Bay -130
Game Total: 46
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Atlanta vs Tampa Bay

So much for the Falcons being the surprise team in the NFC. After starting out the season going 5 and 0, Coach Dan Quinn has lost this team’s controls. The problem rests with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and QB Matt Ryan. Neither guy is doing enough to bring this team’s offense to the forefront. Why Quinn hired Shanahan is beyond most football analysts’ understanding. The Falcons haven’t scored more than 3 touchdowns in 4 straight games. Surprised that they are 0 and 4 in those 4 games?  You shouldn’t be.

Pick: Tampa Bay

What: Dallas Cowboys (3-8) at Washington (5-6)
When: Monday, December 7, 2015
Kickoff: 8:30 PM ET
Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Weather: 42° F | Light Showers
Spread: Washington -4
Moneyline: Dallas +163 vs Washington -200
Game Total: 42
Watch: ESPN
Stream:  Watch ESPN
Listen: Dallas vs Washington

That didn’t last long. The Football Gods rained bad luck onto the Cowboys again on Thanksgiving Day. Tony Romo, the savior, got hurt again. It shouldn’t be a surprise to football fans. What are you doing bad mouthing a back-up like Brandon Weeden? Is Jones nuts? It won’t matter. Kirk Cousins is a stud under center for the DC’ers in home games. He’s going to rock and sock the boys with another over 100 QB rating while Dallas QB Matt Cassel might play most of this game on his back.

Pick: Washington
