NFL Week 16 Best Bets start on Thursday, Dec. 18 when Tennessee travels to Jacksonville. The big game between two 2 and 12 straight up squads will go a long way in determining where these teams will fall in the NFL draft.

On Sunday, two other best bets exist in the Baltimore versus Houston game and in the Buffalo versus Oakland matchup.
Analyzing My NFL Week 16 Best Bets
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars
When: Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8:25 pm ET
Betting Line: Jacksonville -3
Analysis: It’s interesting that 71% of online handicappers are backing the Jags even though they are giving up 3 points in this spot. Jacksonville isn’t that much better than Tennessee. The Jags are 2 and 5 ATS against the spread at home and they’ve gone 2 and 2 against the spread in their last 4 games.

Tennessee is 2 and 5 against the spread in their away games this season. QB Charlie Whitehurst is likely to start after Jake Locker went down against the Jets with yet another injury. Tennessee has gone 1 and 5 against the spread in their last 6 games overall.
Maybe, that’s why those handicappers are all over the Jags. Another reason could be that while the Titans have to start Whitehurst in this spot, Jacksonville can turn to veteran Chad Henne if Blake Bortles, their rookie QB who suffered an ankle injury against Baltimore in Week 15, can’t go. Okay, let’s go with the 71%.
NFL Week 16 Best Bet: Jacksonville -3
Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans
When: Sunday, Dec. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Betting Line: Baltimore -4
Analysis: The tough luck Houston Texans signed Casey Keenum on Monday morning, a day after their starting QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick, went down with a leg injury. Keenum has some skills, but he won’t get the start against Baltimore.
Thaddeus Lewis, who has starting experience, does get the nod. Lewis isn’t horrible and he faces a Baltimore defense that allows 259.9 yards per game on the ground. Baltimore is 3-3-1 against the spread on the road this season and Houston’s defense, with J.J. Watt, should be able to get to Ravens’ QB Joe Flaaco.
With that sack, @JJWatt is now tied with Mario Williams for franchise lead in sacks with 53.

These two teams are fairly evenly matched. Baltimore’s offense really hasn’t been all that good this season. It could only score 20 against Jacksonville in Week 15. As crazy as it sounds, Houston getting points at home is one of the best looking bets in Week 16.
NFL Week 16 Best Bet: Houston +4
Buffalo Bills at Oakland Raiders
When: Sunday, Dec. 21 at 4:25 pm ET
Betting Line: Buffalo -5.5
Analysis: Buffalo has gone 4 and 0 against the spread and 4 and 0 straight up in its last 4 games. That’s a very good record for a team that many thought would end up out of the AFC Playoff chase by this time.
Going into Week 16, Buffalo is one of the hottest teams in the NFL.
They beat Green Bay straight up 21 to 13 as a +5.5 underdog and made Aaron Rodgers look like a backup when forcing the future hall of fame QB into 2 interceptions with no touchdowns and holding Rodgers to less than 200 yards passing.

If the Bills’ defense could do that to Rodgers, what will it possibly do to Oakland rookie QB David Carr? Things could get very ugly for Carr and the Raiders in this game. Buffalo’s offense isn’t awesome, but it will put up points against a tired Raiders’ defense that has been carrying Oakland all season long.
