NFL Week 17 2-Team Parlay Pick

NFL Week 17 Parlay Picks

Welcome to the final week of the 2015-16 NFL season. It will be the last week that you can pick from a full field for your NFL parlay bets. So let’s not waste any time and get started. The first game I am adding to my week 17 NFL parlay pick involves the hottest team on the planet. Arizona has been unstoppable for about 9 weeks. The Birds take on Seattle in a Jan. 3, Sunday afternoon matchup. The other two teams in the parlay come from the Oakland versus Kansas City game and St. Louis at San Francisco. Kansas City still has a shot at the AFC West Division. At St. Louis and San Francisco, the respective coaches will be fighting for the right to keep their jobs.

NFL Week 17 2-Team Parlay Pick

  • Kansas City -6.5
  • St. Louis -3.5

What: Oakland Raiders (7-8) at Kansas City Chiefs (10-5)
When: Sunday, January 3, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: Kansas City, MO
Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium
Spread: Chiefs -6.5
Moneyline: Oakland +235 vs Kansas City -275
Game Total: 43.5
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Oakland vs Kansas City

Analysis: After two straight wins following their bye, Oakland has since fallen apart. The Raiders have lost 5 out of their last 8 games. Their biggest problem is the lack of a running game. The Raiders average less than 94 yards per game on the ground. When you have a young QB like Derek Carr, the best way to protect him is to run the football.

Kansas City has no problems with their rushing attack. The Chiefs average 123.7 yards per game on the ground. The defense is ranked 8th in yards allowed per game at 337.6 and 2nd in points allowed per game at 18. Expect a thrashing like the 34 to 20 beat down that the Chiefs put onto Oakland on Dec. 6.

Pick: Oakland

What: St. Louis (7-8) at San Francisco 49ers (4-11)
When: Sunday, January 3, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: Santa Clara, CA
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Spread: Rams -3
Moneyline: St. Louis -170 vs +150
Game Total: 37.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: St. Louis vs San Francisco

Analysis: Jim Tomsula is probably out as coach of the San Francisco 49’ers no matter what happens in this game. Tomsula inherited a mess. But he was expected to at least field a decent defense. The 49’ers are ranked 29th in total yards allowed per game and a horrible 28th in rushing yards allowed per game. Opponents average 24.7 points per matchup against the 49’ers D.

Jeff Fisher at St. Louis might and probably should keep his job. After the Rams lost 5 games in a row, 3 of those games were against playoff bound Minnesota, Cincinnati and Arizona, Fisher rallied his bunch to a 3 game winning streak including beating Seattle 23 to 17 in Seattle in Week 16. Rams roll.

Pick: St. Louis

NFL Week 17 3-Team Parlay Pick

  • Kansas City -6.5
  • St. Louis -3.5
  • Arizona -3.5

What: Seattle Seahawks (9-6) at Arizona Cardinals (13-2)
When: Sunday, January 3, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: Glendale, AZ
Stadium: U of Phoenix Stadium
Spread: Cardinals -4.5
Moneyline: Seattle +185 vs Arizona -225
Game Total: 47.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Seattle vs Arizona

Analysis: Seattle’s offense isn’t that bad. The defense is the problem. The Seahawks are ranked second in the NFL in yards allowed per game at 295.9. The stat doesn’t tell football handicappers that Seattle’s D has some serious problems in the defensive backfield.

The last time that Seattle faced Arizona, QB Carson Palmer threw for 363 yards and 3 touchdowns. Palmer could eclipse those numbers this week. Arizona will be looking to demoralize the Seahawks, their biggest rivals in the NFL.  Even if there is nothing to play for, Coach Arians might hand the ball to Palmer for at least 2 touchdown passes.

Pick: Arizona
