NFL Week 3 ATS Picks

NFL Week 3 ATS Picks

NFL Week 2 early spreads are out and I have a duo of games you should bet the spreads on. First, can Buffalo cover a 16.5-point spread on the road against the toughest home defense in the league? What happens in Philly when Carson Wentz returns to the field for the first time since his knee injury last season? Keep reading for my NFL Week 3 ATS picks.

NFL Week 3 ATS Picks

Buffalo at Minnesota
When: Sunday, Sep. 23 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
Odds: Vikings -16.5

Analysis: Buffalo fans are already bitter because coach Sean McDermott gutted an offense that led to a playoff berth in 2017. Buffalo’s forced to start Josh Allen at quarterback because they decided to trade A.J. McCarron and go with Nathan Peterman.

Peterman failed miserably in Week 1. Minnesota’s defense dominates the best quarterbacks in the NFL not named Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Allen has no shot against Minnesota’s pass rush. There’s no reason to compare anything else because the Vikings are going to dominate Buffalo’s offense.

Minnesota should win this game by as many points as they please.

Week 3 ATS Pick: Minnesota

Indianapolis at Philadelphia
When: Sunday, Sep. 23 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Spread: Eagles -6.5

Analysis: Philadelphia remains one of the top teams in the NFL while Indianapolis has a long way to go before competing with Philly. The Colts aren’t the worst team in the league. Let’s just say that they’re inexperienced and leave it at that.

Philly’s defense played great shutting down opposing rushing games last season. So far, the D’s been very good at also shutting down opposing team’s passing defenses. Indianapolis doesn’t have much of a rushing attack.

Again, the Colts must lean on quarterback Andrew Luck. Philly’s the play because they should sack Luck at least 3 times while pressuring him numerous other times.

Week 3 ATS Pick: Philadelphia
