Week 7 NFL Over/Under Picks

NFL Week 5 Parlay Picks – Chiefs + Falcons + Saints = ???

Week 5 in the NFL presents some incredibly intriguing matchups. Finding the best intriguing matchups for two-team and three-team parlay wagers isn’t always easy to do.

This week, the best two games for the parlay are Chicago at Kansas City and Atlanta hosting Washington. After playing 3 undefeated teams in a row, KC gets to rock and shock the Bears. Atlanta has looked like the best team in the NFL. The third game pits New Orleans against Philadelphia. Do the Saints win two in a row against the most disappointing team in the NFL?

A Closer Look At My NFL Week 5 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Kansas City Chiefs -10
  • Atlanta Falcons -8

Chicago Bears at Kansas City Chiefs
When: Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: Kansas City -10

Analysis: Chicago QB Jay Cutler suited up in Week 4 and it led to the Bears winning their first game of the season. The Bears’ defense is ranked fifth in passing yards allowed and seventh overall.

But the numbers are skewed because Chicago’s D is ranked thirty-first in points allowed. Chicago’s D allows an incredible 31.2 points per game. Granted, a lot of times the defense is put in a bad position due to the offense, but the D faces one of the top offenses in the NFL on Sunday in Kansas City.

KC averages 25 points a game. KC’s offense is always playing catch up due to the defense not being very good. It’s doubtful that without Alshon Jeffry at WR, though, Cutler will be able to keep up with the amount of points that KC figures to score in this game. KC’s D is terrible against the pass but not that bad against the run. Facing Cutler is much different than facing Peyton Manning, Aaron Rogers and Andy Dalton, the 3 QBs the Chiefs have faced in their last 3 games.

Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons
When: Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: Atlanta -8

Analysis: The best team in the NFL right now is the Atlanta Falcons. First, the offense is the best in the NFL. Even though the stats rank the offense fifth in the league, no team is as balanced as Atlanta.

Altanta can run the ball with Donta Freeman. QB Matt Ryan can throw the ball to a number of weapons including Freeman out of the backfield, the best WR in the league in Julio Jones, old pro Roddy White and slot man Leonard Hankerson. The offensive line has allowed Freeman to rush for 141 yards, a 4.7 average, and 68 yards, a 4.9 average, against the Cowboys and Texans respectively.

Atlanta’s defense isn’t too bad, either. The Falcons give up a lot of passing yards, 305.2 per game on average, but not a lot of points, only 23.2 on average per game. Even though Washington is much better this season than many though they’d be, they’re not good enough to cover against the Falcons on the road.

A Closer Look At My NFL Week 5 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • Kansas City Chiefs -10
  • Atlanta Falcons -8
  • New Orleans Saints +4.5

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles
When:  Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: New Orleans +4.5

Analysis: Sometimes a team only needs to get that first win in order to start putting together a decent season. Even though it’s a long shot for the Saints to get into the playoffs, the 0 and 3 record wasn’t an example of how good this team is.

New Orleans isn’t going to beat Green Bay, Atlanta, New England or any of the really good teams in the NFL this season. But, the Saints are good enough to beat a team like Philadelphia.
The Saints’ have the better offensive line, better running game and better quarterback. They might also have the better defense since Philly’s D is allowing 276.5 passing yards per game on average. New Orleans’ young players on D turned the light bulb on versus Dallas in their victory on Sunday night.

Delvin Breaux, Bobby Richardson, Stephone Anthony and Hau’oli Kikuha were the 4 best players on the Saints’ D. If the defense in New Orleans comes to play again, the Saints could upset Philadelphia straight up.
