The Patriots might have lost to Indianapolis on the road in Week 6’s Sunday Night Game if not for a boneheaded call on the part of the Colts. Indianapolis was moving the ball with ease against what has become a less than stellar Patriots’ defense. The Colts’ Andrew Luck threw for 312 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Colts’ rushed for 120 yards on the ground.

The Jets’ offense might be better than Indianapolis’. RB Chris Ivory is a beast. The Jets’ passing game is very good. Ryan Fitzpatrick has played well this season. With Geno Smith at QB last season, the Jets managed to cover in both games against New England.

The Jets lost by only a single point, 16 to 17 in the first game, and by 2 points, 25 to 27, in the second game between these two. Todd Bowles, the Jets’ new coach, might be able to slow down Tom Brady. He routinely did so when coaching the defense for the Baltimore Ravens and he’s got a couple of shutdown corners playing for him in former Patriot Darrelle Revis and the very talented Antonio Cromartie. The Jets can win this game straight up.

Sometimes, all a team needs is a directional change. After losing 3 games in a row, the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with their head coach. Even though they only have an interim coach leading the team, the change really bolstered the Dolphins in their matchup against Tennessee this past Sunday.

The Titans could only manage 10 points against the much maligned Dolphins’ defense. QB Marcus Mariota threw 2 interceptions. He also lost 2 fumbles. On offense, the Dolphins were terrific. They rushed for 180 yards. Ryan Tannehill passed for 2 touchdowns and 266 yards.

Houston’s defense isn’t very good. For all of the stars along the defensive line, the Texans allow a terrible 25.8 points per game. Offensively, Houston is plain bad. Miami should roll to another easy win.

Pick: Miami -5

Listen: Baltimore vs Arizona

Baltimore is still having major issues on defense. The main issue is Terrell Suggs being injured. But, football handicappers should also remember that the Ravens lost one of the top defensive coordinators in the NFL in Todd Bowles from last season. The defense is allowing an average of 27 points and 380.7 yards per game.

Baltimore is 1 and 5 on the season due to its defense. Because the defense is so bad, the Ravens have become one-dimensional on offense. Baltimore continually has to play catch up.

Arizona’s defense had trouble stopping QB Landry Jones and Pittsburgh in the second half of the Cardinals’ surprising loss to the Steelers. But, that’s because AZ game planned against Michael Vick. Arizona has a whole week to game plan against Baltimore QB Joe Flacco.

Arizona averages 33.8 points per game. Baltimore should get blown out in this matchup.

Pick: Arizona -7.5
