NFL Week 7 Betting Cheat Sheet

It’s Week 7 in the NFL. Does it seems strange that a lot of football analysts are talking about the Patriots going undefeated when they haven’t played a team yet that has a great defense and a great offense?

The Patriots show up on our picks sheet for the week. We also take a look at Thursday night’s game between Seattle and San Francisco where the once mighty Seahawks have an absolute must win against the rival San Francisco 49’ers. Which games are best for your ATS, Moneyline and Over/Under plays?

Bye Teams: Denver, Cincinnati, Chicago, Green Bay

NFL Week 7 ATS Picks

What: Seattle Seahawks (2-4) at San Francisco 49ers (2-4)
When: Thursday, October 22, 2015
Kickoff: 8:25 PM ET
Where: Santa Clara, CA
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Weather: 76° F | A Mixture of Sun and Clouds
Spread: Seahawks -5.5
Moneyline: Seattle -235 vs San Francisco +210
Game Total: 41.5
Watch: CBS/NFL
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Seattle vs San Francisco

Analysis: The 49’ers upset Baltimore 25 to 20 as a +2.5 home dog this past Sunday. San Francisco’s offense is starting to play well.

The 49’ers Colin Kaepernick threw for 345 yards and 2 touchdowns against Baltimore. Kaepernick is finally developing into the quarterback that everybody thought he’d become when leading the Niners to the Super Bowl in 2013. Kaepernick can beat a Seattle defense that gave up 269 passing yards to Cam Newton.

Pick: San Francisco

What: Atlanta Falcons (5-1) at Tennessee Titans (1-4)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Nashville, TN
Stadium: Nissan Stadium
Weather: 71° F | Rain Early
Spread: Falcons -3.5
Moneyline: Atlanta -210 vs Tennessee +165
Game Total: 48
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Atlanta vs Tennessee

Analysis: The Falcons stumbled against New Orleans. Facing the Saints in the Superdome is always difficult for Atlanta. New Orleans versus Atlanta is one of the most heated rivalries in the NFL. Atlanta’s offense wasn’t bad against New Orleans. The Falcons probably should have rushed the ball more since Devonta Freeman averaged 7.7 yards against the Saints’ defense.

This week, the Falcons face a Tennessee team that’s yielding 129.6 rushing yards per game. RB Devonta Freeman is going to go crazy. Also, Coach Dan Quinn’s defense is going to stop Titans’ QB Marcus Mariota who has started to show signs of being what he is, a rookie.

Pick: Atlanta

What: NY Jets (4-1) at New England Patriots (5-0)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Foxboro, MA
Stadium: Gillette Stadium
Weather: 65° F | Sprinkles Late
Spread: Patriots -9
Moneyline: NY Jets +340 vs New England -440
Game Total: 48
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: New York vs New England

Analysis: The Patriots’ offense has been brilliant, yes, but we should really consider who New England has played before discussing the Pats going undefeated this season. They crushed Buffalo, whose pass defense is suspect, Jacksonville, and Dallas without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. Save for a bad play called in the second half against Indianapolis, the Colts might have beaten the Pats last Sunday night.

The Jets have turned into one of the top teams in the AFC. New York is averaging 25.8 points and 146 rushing yards per game. New England’s defense gives up a lot of yards. Teams pass for only 186.6 yards per game against the Jets’ D. Jets can win straight up, but take the points.

Pick: New York Jets

NFL Week 7 Over Under Picks

What: New Orleains Saints (2-4) at Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Indianapolis, IN
Stadium: Lucas Oil Stadium
Weather: N/A
Spread: Colts -5.5
Moneyline: New Orleans +195 vs Indianapolis -235
Game Total: 52.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: New Orleans vs Indianapolis

Analysis: Everybody believes that this game will be a high-scoring affair. Both New Orleans and Indianapolis have great passing attacks.

But, both coaching staffs know that about the other team. The Saints will try and establish the run with RB Mark Ingram while Indianapolis will try and establish the run with RB Frank Gore. Since both teams figure to try and control the clock, expect an under matchup.

Pick: Under

What: Baltimore Ravens (1-5) at Arizona Cardinals (4-2)
When: Monday, October 26, 2015
Kickoff: 8:30 PM ET
Where: Glendale, AZ
Stadium: U of Phoenix Stadium
Weather: N/A
Spread: Cardinals -7.5
Moneyline: Ravens +250 vs Cardinals -323
Game Total: 48
Watch: ESPN
Stream:  Watch ESPN
Listen: Baltimore vs Arizona

Analysis: Arizona has an excellent defense, but Baltimore doesn’t. Teams are averaging 27 points against the Ravens’ defense. Arizona is averaging 33.8 points per game.

Arizona’s offense also averages 405.7 yards per game. That’s a lot of yards for a team that plays against a rather bad defense at home. Baltimore has given up 30 points to Cleveland and 25 points to San Francisco in their last 2 games. The Cardinals could get 40 on Baltimore while the Ravens figure to score at least 3 touchdowns now that WR Steve Smith Sr. is healthy again.

Pick: Over

What: Oakland Raiders (2-3) at San Diego Chargers (2-4)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 4:05 PM ET
Where: San Diego, CA
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
Weather: 83° F | A Mixture of Sun and Clouds
Spread: Chargers -4
Moneyline: Oakland +170 vs -San Diego 213
Game Total: 47
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Oakland vs San Diego

Analysis: San Diego QB Phillip Rivers averages 346.5 passing yards per game. He should have no trouble passing the football against an Oakland defense that yields an average of 299.2 passing yards per matchup.

The Raiders’ offense averages 248.8 passing yards per game. WR Amari Cooper is a stud. San Diego has some serious issues in the secondary, meaning that Oakland QB Derek Carr is going to throw to Cooper on a daily basis. Both teams should score at will in this one.

Pick: Over

NFL Week 7 Money Line Picks

What: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3) at Washington (2-4)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Weather: 71° F | A Mixture of Sun and Clouds
Spread: Washington -3.5
Moneyline: Tampa Bay +163 vs Washington -208
Game Total: 43.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Tampa Bay vs Washington

Analysis: Tampa Bay goes into this battle off of a bye week. In normal circumstances that would give the Buccaneers an edge.

Washington has lost 3 out of its last 4. The 3 losses were to the New York Giants, the Atlanta Falcons and the New York Jets. Not only did Washington lose to 3 of the better teams in the NFL, but they lost to those teams on the road. Washington is a good enough team to shut down Tampa Bay’s rushing offense. If Washington can do that, they’ll be able to tee off on QB Jameis Winston who still hasn’t shown the ability to get out of trouble. Expect Washington to force Winston into at least 2 interceptions in this battle.

Pick: Washington

What: Minnesota Vikings (3-2) at Detroit Lions (1-5)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Detroit, MI
Stadium: Ford Field
Weather: N/A
Spread: Vikings -2
Moneyline: Minnesota -145 vs Detroit +120
Game Total: 44.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Minnesota vs Detroit

Analysis: Minnesota travels to Detroit as a -2.5 point road favorite. Detroit finally got over the hump by beating Chicago 37 to 34 in overtime. But, Minnesota’s defense is much, much better than the Bears D.

The Vikings should have no trouble taking it to the Lions in this game on offense since Detroit’s D is allowing 120.6 rushing yards per game. Adrian Peterson is the best running back in the NFL. Detroit is going to have to put an extra man in the box in order to shut down Peterson’s ability to break off for long gains. That gives the edge to Minnesota

Pick: Minnesota

What: Cleveland Browns (2-4) at St. Louis Rams (2-3)
When: Sunday, October 25, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Saint Louis, MO
Stadium: Edward Jones Dome
Weather: N/A
Spread: Rams -4.5
Moneyline: Cleveland +190 vs St. Louis -230
Game Total: 42
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Cleveland vs St. Louis

Analysis: Cleveland has been able to move the ball lately. The Browns almost upset San Diego on the road 27 to 30. They did beat Baltimore on the road 33 to 30 and they almost beat Denver at home 23 to 26 in overtime in their last.

But, they face one of the top defensive lines in the NFL this Sunday. DE Aaron Donald has 3.5 sacks and 15 solo tackles on the season. When Browns’ QB Josh McCown is pressured, he makes mistakes. McCown has thrown 3 picks this season. He might throw more because Donald is going to be in his face all day in this.

Pick: St. Louis
