NFL Week 8 Parlay Picks

NFL Week 8 Parlay Picks

At the halfway point in the NFL it’s becoming increasingly clear which teams are worth putting into parlays and which teams aren’t. One of the better teams is Atlanta who continues to win games.

But, Atlanta hasn’t covered a spread in a while. The Falcons will be looking to turn things around ATS against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Tennessee travels to Houston in another great game for our parlay while the New York Jets battle Oakland on the road. Don’t forget about the 6-Team Bonus Parlay pick at the end of the article.

NFL Week 8 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Atlanta -7.5
  • Tennessee +1

Tampa Bay at Atlanta
When: Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1:00pm ET
Odds: Atlanta -7.5

Analysis: Atlanta was expected to beat Tennessee by at least 5 points in Week 7. Atlanta played well, but they faced a better than it looks pass defense in the Titans. The Falcons beat Tennessee 10 to 7.

What’s brilliant about the win is that Atlanta’s defense held Tennessee to only 77 rushing yards and 179 passing yards. That’s awesome. The reason it’s awesome is because when Atlanta’s offense is clicking, when Devonta Freeman is rushing the ball well and when Matt Ryan is sending passes to Julio Jones, the Falcons can really put points on the board.

Tampa Bay blew a 24 to 0 lead against Washington in Week 7. The Buccaneers have little chance of keeping this one close against Atlanta’s ferocious defense and very good offense in Week 8.

Pick: Atlanta -7.5

Tennessee at Houston
When: Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: Tenn +1

Analysis: The against the spread odds in this game are going to fluctuate throughout the week. Some sports books might even take the odds off the board until Saturday. No worries. It’s doubtful that Tennessee ends up as more than a -3 point road favorite in this game.

Even if QB Marcus Mariota doesn’t play, Tennessee is plenty good enough to win this game outright by at least 6 points. The problem that Houston has in this one is that their rushing attack won’t be very effective without Arian Foster who hurt his knee in Week 7.

Tennessee’s pass defense is only allowing 195.2 passing yards per game. A one-dimensional Houston offense is going to have trouble moving the football while Houston’s defense has been a massive disappointment this season.

Pick: Tennessee

NFL Week 8 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • Atlanta -7.5
  • Tennessee +1
  • New York Jets -1

New York Jets at Oakland
When:  Sunday, Nov. 1 at 4:05pm ET
Odds: NYJ -1

Analysis: The Jets appeared to have the victory over New England sewn up. NYJ folded on defense late in the fourth quarter and that’s how the Patriots got to a 10 point lead, but before that the Jets had the game on their side.

There is no way that Oakland should be in a 1 point game versus the New York Jets. The Jets do have some injuries on defense. Could Oakland capitalize? Raiders’ QB Derek Carr and WR Amari Cooper got to play against a very bad San Diego defense in Week 7. The Raiders put up 282 yards passing and 130 yards rushing. Oakland scored 37 points.

Oakland won’t be able to score that many points this Sunday against the Jets’ defense. Almost as important is the fact that Oakland’s offense should be able to pummel the Raiders’ defense, which is allowing 388.2 total yards and 25.5 points per game.

Pick: New York Jets -1

Bonus NFL Week 8 6-Team Parlay Pick

  • Miami +7.5
  • New Orleans -3.5
