NFL Wild Card Weekend 5 Star Lock Picks

NFL Week 9 Parlay Picks

The NFL continues to be an incredibly competitive league. In Week 8, undefeated Green Bay went down as a road favorite in Denver. Green Bay is one of the teams in this week’s parlay picks.

In addition to Green Bay, St. Louis travels to Minnesota as a possible parlay pick choice while the New York Giants take on Tampa Bay in a game that should yield a decent parlay pick team. Don’t forget about the 6-Team Parlay bonus play at the end of the article.

NFL Week 9 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Green Bay TBD
  • St. Louis +2.5

Green Bay at Carolina
When: Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: TBD

Analysis: It’s doubtful that Green Bay ends up favored over Carolina this Sunday. But, even if the Packers are, they are a good bet to cover the spread. Green Bay was due for a letdown up in Denver after showing signs of weakness versus San Diego in a 27 to 20 win. At one point, it looked like the Chargers were going to beat the Packers straight up in that game.

Green Bay’s offense is still capable of exploiting a Carolina defense that has been able to play against subpar quarterbacks this season. Carolina beat the Saints when Luke McCown was filling in for Drew Brees. They battled Sam Bradford, who has a 76.4 QB rating, when they beat Philadelphia. Jacksonville, Houston and Tampa Bay don’t have elite QBs. Seattle’s QB, Russell Wilson, plays behind a bad offensive line.

Aaron Rodgers is going to pick apart the Carolina defense on Sunday.

Pick: Green Bay

St. Louis at Minnesota
When: Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 pm ET
Odds: St. Louis +2.5

Analysis: Minnesota is 5 and 2 this season. The Vikings have turned into a complete team now that WR Stefon Diggs is playing like he’s been a pro for 6 years. QB Teddy Bridgewater now has a true deep threat to throw to.

But, St. Louis will be able to shut down Minnesota’s offense while Minnesota’s defense might have trouble keeping RB Todd Gurley contained. Gurley has rushed for 146 yards, 159 yards, 128 yards and 133 yards in the Rams last 4 games. He leads the NFL in rushing and he didn’t play until Week 3 where he got only 6 carries.

Gurley is awesome. He’s going to keep the Vikings’ defenders on their heels for the entire game in this. Expect St. Louis to cover the spread.

Pick: St. Louis

NFL Week 9 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • Green Bay TBD
  • St. Louis +2.5
  • New York Giants -2.5

New York Giants at Tampa Bay
When:  Sunday, Nov. 8 at 4:05 pm ET
Odds: New York Giants -2.5

Analysis: Sure, Drew Brees shredded the Giants’ secondary for over 500 yards passing and 7 touchdowns. But, the truth of the matter is that Brees is a hall-of-fame quarterbacks. He can do that to a lot of NFL defenses when his offensive line is healthy, like it was in Week 8, and when he’s got his bevy of weapons to throw to.

Tampa Bay’s offense isn’t nearly as good as the Saints’. The Buccaneers won’t be able to move the ball as freely. Also, Tampa Bay’s defense could be in trouble against Eli Manning and the Giants’ offense. Expect Eli to control the pace of the game with audibles to his running backs and short passes to his outlet guys. This one shouldn’t be close.

Pick: New York Giants
