  • Washington -1

Analysis: The Chiefs and Texans played in Week 1. Kansas City won that game 27 to 20. Houston has definitely improved since then. The Texans won 6 out of their last 8 in order to beat Indianapolis for the AFC South crown.

But, the Texans play the hottest team in the NFL in Kansas City. What’ impressive about KC is that during their 10 game winning streak, the Chiefs have given up 20 points or more only twice. In fact, the Chiefs have given up 20 points or more only twice in their last 12 games. You have to go all the way back to Oct. 4 to find a game where the Chiefs gave up 30 points or more. KC should shut down Houston’s offense.

Pick: Kansas City

What: NFC Wild Card Game
Who: Green Bay Packers (10-6) at Washington (9-7)
When: Sunday, January 10, 2016,
Kickoff: 4:40 PM ET
Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Spread: PK
Game Total: 46.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Green Bay vs Washington

Analysis: Without Aaron Rodgers slinging it all over the field for touchdowns, Green Bay is just an average team. Rodgers hasn’t played well this season. A lot of it has to do with the fact that the Packers’ offensive line has been just okay. There’s the issue with their wide receivers as well. The man destined to take over for Jordy Nelson as Rodgers’ top target, Randall Cobb, hasn’t been 100% this season. He’s played through injuries.

Washington is on a roll. They’ve won 4 games in a row. 3 of those wins were road victories. The defense isn’t very good, but it plays with heart. More importantly, Washington has been scoring points like it’s one of the best offenses in the NFL: 35 against Buffalo, 38 against Philadelphia and 34 against Dallas to close out the regular season.

Pick: Washington

NFL Wild Card Weekend 3-Team Parlay Pick

  • Kansas City -3
  • Washington -1
  • Cincinnati +2.5

What: AFC Wild Card Game
Who: Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) at Cincinnati Bengals (12-4)
When: Saturday, January 9, 2016
Kickoff: 8:15 PM ET
Where: Cincinnati, OH
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Spread: Steelers -2.5
Moneyline: Pittsburgh -135 vs Cincinnati +155
Game Total: 47
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati

Analysis: Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton is day to day. There’s still a chance that Dalton could play in this game. Even if he doesn’t, NFL handicappers have to like A.J. McCarron under center for the Bengals.
Since throwing 2 picks in his first game as a starter, which was in a loss to Pittsburgh at home, McCarron has made great decisions. He hasn’t thrown an interception in 3 straight games while tossing 4 touchdowns. McCarron might have to air it out more this Saturday against Pittsburgh because the Steelers’ defense allows 91.2 rushing yards per game, 5th in the NFL, and 271.9 passing yards per game, 30th in the NFL. In A.J. McCarron, I trust. I’m going with Cincinnati.

Pick: Cincinnati
