Analysis: The hottest team to enter the playoffs is the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs went 10 and 0 to finish the regular season. They won in almost every way imaginable. They beat teams when by outscoring them like when they dominated San Diego 33 to 3 on Nov. 22. They beat teams with their 7th ranked defense like when they took down the Chargers 10 to 3 in the second game between the AFC West rivals.

Houston won 6 out of their last 8 games to make the playoffs. The Texans’ defense finally came around. It ended up ranked third in the NFL. But, Houston has had issues scoring points against good defensive teams. This game belongs to the Chiefs.

Pick: Kansas City

What: NFC Wild Card Game
Who: Seattle Seahawks (10-6) at Minnesota Vikings (11-5)
When: Sunday, January 10, 2016,

Moneyline: Seattle -240 vs Minnesota +200
Game Total: 42

Listen: Seattle vs Minnesota

Analysis: The last time that these two teams faced each other it was all Seattle. The Seahawks outscored Minnesota 38 to 7. Seattle rushed for an amazing 173 yards. Russell Wilson passed for 274 yards. He threw 3 touchdowns.

Since the loss, Minnesota’s defense has buckled down. The Vikings haven’t allowed more than 23 points in any of their last 4 contests. They gave up the 23 to the highest scoring team in the NFL, Arizona, in a 20 to 23 road loss on Dec. 10. Seattle can be either up or down while the Vikings are a mentally strong bunch that figures to have learned a lot from the pasting that the Seahawks game them five weeks ago.

Pick: Minnesota

NFL Wild Card Weekend Game Total Over/Under Picks

What: AFC Wild Card Game
Who: Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) at Cincinnati Bengals (12-4)
When: Saturday, January 9, 2016
Kickoff: 8:15 PM ET
Where: Cincinnati, OH
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Spread: Steelers -2.5
Moneyline: Pittsburgh -135 vs Cincinnati +155
Game Total: 47
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati

Analysis: Cincinnati QB A.J. McCarron hasn’t thrown an interception since tossing two to the Steelers in Week 14. That was the first time that McCarron started for the Bengals. His decision making has been sharp. McCarron is used to playing with a strong rushing game. At his days in Alabama, the Crimson Tide was a run first team.

After scoring 30 points or more in five straight games, Pittsburgh finished off their season by failing to score 30 in two straight. The Steelers lost 17 to 20 to Baltimore. They beat Cleveland 28 to 12 in Week 17 to make it to the playoffs. Don’t expect a repeat of the Dec. 13 battle between these two when a total of 53 points were scored. This should go under.

Pick: Under

NFL Wild Card Weekend Straight Up Moneyline Picks

What: NFC Wild Card Game
Who: Green Bay Packers (10-6) at Washington (9-7)
When: Sunday, January 10, 2016,
Kickoff: 4:40 PM ET
Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Spread: PK
Moneyline: N/A
Game Total: 46.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Green Bay vs Washington

Analysis: Washington won their final 4 games. 3 of those wins were on the road against Chicago, Philadelphia and Dallas. Washington also brings the gunslinger into this battle. Cousins has been awesome under center for Washington.

While the DC’ers’ Kirk Cousins will be looking for his 7th straight game with a QB rating of 100 or better, the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers will simply be looking for his 5th game with a QB rating of 100 or better this season. Rodgers was Green Bay’s advantage going into the season. He’s not playing very well. Who knew that Jordy Nelson was such a big part of the Packers’ offense?
Expect Washington to win this game going away.

Pick: Washington
