After seeing last week’s complete mental breakdown of the Houston Texans, I´m really not sure they can come back, it seems to be more then mental. This week Houston released its offseason acquisition Ed Reed and we also learned that their pro bowl running back Arian Foster is out for the season with a necessary surgery. Oakland is just the team for this grudge game because we will know who this team is after playing the Raiders.
Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans
1:00 PM ET, November 17, 2013
Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
Oakland comes into this game with a better record than the Texans, now who would have guessed that opening the season. QB Terrelle Pryor has kept this team in many games this season, their defense has been lacking the necessary stops down the stretch of games but this is a hard hitting well rounded football team that will give the Texans all the trouble in the world.
Houston is know 0 for their last 7 games after opening the season with back to back wins, their team is just flooding right now, they have lost their starting QB, running back and defensive captain. Their real main threat is receiver Andre Johnson who is getting double and triple teamed down the field forcing someone else to step up and make the big plays.
What to expect:
For the first time since week 3 Houston is a touchdown favorite but I see this line inflated because of the squares, most betters will like the home team to make a stand but I see the wise action coming on Oakland in this game plus the 7, Houston has not shown they can even hang in with other teams let alone beat them by seven. Take the Raiders in this one, it´s my pick of the week, regarding the total at 41.5 I like the under, I think that the Raiders have the corners to cover Johnson and keep the middle of the file crowded causing issues for the Texans QB to get anything going.
