My NFL Week 10 Lock Picks

Matchup: Miami Dolphins Vs. Detroit Lions
Date: November 9th
Start Time: 1 pm Eastern
Location: Detroit, MI
Stadium: Ford Field
TV Info: CBS
Live Stream:
Radio: Miami; Detroit
Point Spread: Detroit -3 -105
Moneyline: Dolphins +130 Vs. Lions -150
Total: 44

The Miami Dolphins (5-3, 2nd in AFC East) own a three-game winning streak both straight up and against the spread including a shutout win over the San Diego Super Chargers last week. The Detroit Lions (6-2, 1st in NFC North) also own a three-game SU winning streak, and are 5-1 SU over their last six games. The Lions are coming off a bye week after a 2nd half comeback win over the Falcons in London.

The Dolphins are allowing 18.9 points, 304.9 yards, and they’ve forced 25 sacks and 18 turnovers. The Miami Dolphins have won eight of their last 11 games when allowing 24 or less points. While the Lions are winning on the back of their defense that is allowing 15.8 points, 290.4 yards, and they’ve forced 23 sacks and 12 turnovers. The Detroit Lions have allowed no more than 24 points all season.

The Dolphins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Lions are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye week. The Dolphins are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings, while the road team is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Megatron and Reggie Bush should be health in their return to the Lions lineup. I don’t see the Dolphins keeping up. Bet the Lions.

Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. New York Jets
Date: November 9th
Start Time: 1 pm Eastern
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Stadium: MetLife Stadium
TV Info: CBS
Live Stream:
Radio: Pittsburgh vs New York Jets
Point Spread: Pittsburgh -4.5
Moneyline: Steelers -225 Vs. Jets +185
Total: 45.5

The Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3, 1st in AFC North) then opened as 2.5-point road favorites against the New York Jets (1-8, 4th in AFC East) for a Sunday afternoon tilt. Pittsburgh is 6-3 SU and 5-4 ATS on the season.

Rex Ryan’s Jets have lost eight games in a row and maybe the worst team in the NFL (taking over for the Jaguars). The Jets offense is ranked 30th in the NFL in average points per game with 17.1 and they are averaging 324.3 yards and also have a miserable minus 15 turnover margin.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have won three games in a row and four of their last five and are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. Roethlisberger is averaging 375.7 passing yards during the Steelers’ three-game winning streak. He has 14 touchdown passes and no interceptions during that span. The Steelers offense is averaging 27.6 points and 413.6 yards per game which is third best in the NFL.

The UNDER is 11-3 in the last 14 games between the Steelers and the Jets heading into their Week 10 NFL betting matchup, and the UNDER is also 7-1-1 in the last nine games between the Ravens and the Titans.

Dealing with a rash of injuries the Pittsburgh Steelers have already ruled out both safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker Ryan Shazier for their Week 10 contest.

Losing the two dynamos on Dick LeBeau blitzing defense does give some hope to the Jets offense, especially quarterback Michael Vick who did play decent in his Week 8 contest after taking over for Geno Smith. Still, losers of eight straight, the New York Jets will need a lot to go right against the streaking Steelers who’ve won three consecutive barnburners.

New York is 1-5-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 0-5 against the spread in their last five home games, and 1-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Pittsburgh is 4-1 against the spread against the AFC, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games, and 8-18 against the spread following a win by 14 or more points.

Don’t trust Rex Ryan and the Jets, bet a lock pick in the Steelers.
