Winning Week 5 NFL Parlay Picks Are Simply Salivating!

As a strange week 4 of NFL betting ends (margins of victory for games on Sunday were: 31, 24, 28, 24, 3, 7, 6, 21, 19, 13, 5, 21), no one expected the 2014 season to unfold like it has.

No one expected the Arizona Cardinals to be undefeated with backup QB Drew Stanton at the helm for 2 of their 3 wins with a bye week taking them into the second quarter of the season.

The 3-0 Cincinnati Bengals have been winning even behind a string of high profile injuries on offense and defense.

And who would of thought that the defensive $100 million man, J.J. Watt, would have twice as many touchdowns as WR Andre Johnson and RB Arian Foster.

Taking all of the oddities of the 2014 NFL betting season to date, lets take a look at the best winning NFL week 5 parlay bets you can make.

NFL Week 5 Parlay Picks

Two-Team NFL Week 5 Parlay Pick

  • Philadelphia Eagles -7
  • Pittsburgh Steelers -7

St. Louis Rams at Philadelphia Eagles
When: Sun., Oct. 5
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pa
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Spread: Philadelphia -7
Total: 47.5

After predicting Philly’s week 4 loss to San Francisco almost perfectly, I’m back with the Birds in a big way in Week 5. Just as I assured bettors that the Birds would narrowly fall to a desperate San Francisco team this past weekend, I’m assuring you now that the Eagles are going to torch the beleaguered St. Luis Rams in this matchup.

St. Louis is coming off a crushing loss to Dallas the last time out where they basically collapsed in the second half. After taking a surprising 21-10 lead into the half, the Rams got outscored 24-10 in the second half.

After falling to the Niners a week ago, I expect Philadelphia to be as focused – and as explosive – as they’ve been all season long.

Chip Kelly’s potent offense is putting up 30.5 points per game (third), but the Birds are also ranked a disappointing 26th in points allowed (26.0)

Still, things should be a walk in the par k with St. Louis ranking 27th in scoring (18.7) and an even more discouraging 30th in points allowed (28.3).

With the Eagles going 7-3 SU and a blistering 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings against St. Louis, I think they’re the easy pick to win and cash in!

My Pick: Philadelphia Eagles-7 Points

Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars
When: Sunday, October 5, 2014
Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Spread: Pittsburgh -7
Total: 46

This matchup is another ‘lock alert’ kind of pick if you ask me. Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers will be looking to get back in the win column in a big way after getting embarrassed by lowly Tampa Bay 27-24 this past weekend.

With Pittsburgh in a bit of what I like to call ‘desperation mode’ and winless Jacksonville looking as clueless as ever, I’m expecting the Steelers to win this one by double digits at the very least. Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS in its L/5 road games while Jacksonville has gone 7-18-1 ATS in its L/26 home games.

My Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -7

Three-Team NFL Week 5 Parlay Pick

  • Philadelphia Eagles -7
  • Pittsburgh Steelers -7
  • Indianapolis Colts -3.5

Baltimore at Indianapolis
When: Sunday, October 5, 2014
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Spread: Indianapolis -3.5
Total: 43.5

Baltimore has won three straight games while Indianapolis has won its last two after starting the season with a pair of heartbreaking losses. I like Andrew Luck and the Colts to get a big home win in this matchup against a Baltimore Ravens team that can’t quite match their explosive nature on offense.

Don’t get me wrong, I expect Baltimore to put up a fight, but in the end, I like the Colts at home. The Ravens are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games in the month of October while Indianapolis has gone 4-0 ATS n their last four home games against teams with a winning record.

My Pick: Indianapolis Colts -3.5 Points

Four-Team NFL Week 5 Parlay Pick

  • Philadelphia Eagles -7
  • Pittsburgh Steelers -7
  • Indianapolis Colts -3.5
  • San Diego Chargers -7

New York Jets at San Diego Chargers
When: Sunday, October 5, 2014
Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
TV: 4:25 PM ET
Spread: Chargers -7
Total: 43.5

Would somebody please tell me what the hell is wrong with Jets head coach Rex Ryan? Okay, smart alecks…I know there’s a lot wrong with the man’s coaching, but I’m talking specifically about his decision to stick with Geno Smith as his starting quarterback even though the second-year signal-caller is throwing the ball away like it’s going out of style.

Smith has tossed at least one pick in every game this season and has more interceptions (5) than touchdown passes (4) as the Jets get set to visit a Chargers team that I keep telling everyone is poised to challenge for the AFC title this season.

Expect Smith to throw at least one more interceptions (and likely two) against a San Diego defense that has played fantastic football this season in giving up just 15.8 points per game to rank fifth overall. The Jets are 1-3-2 ATS in their last six road games while San Diego has gone 6-0 ATS in their last six games.

My Pick: San Diego Chargers -7 Points
