Detroit Vs New England Week 12 Expert Pick

Winning NFL Week 9 Parlay Picks Feature Shootouts & Rivalries

With the beginning of the second half of the 2014 NFL season here, let’s cut the BS and jump straight into my winning Week 9 NFL parlay picks.

NFL Week 9 Two-Team Parlay Picks

  • New Orleans Saints  -2.5
  • San Diego Chargers -2.5

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
When:  Thursday, Oct. 30 at 8:25 pm ET
TV:  NFL Network
Betting Line: New Orleans -2.5

Analysis: There are two keys about New Orleans victory over Green Bay this past Sunday night that should lead football handicappers to believe that the Saints will cover on the road against Carolina this Thursday night.

First, the Saints played a zone defense. This is key because by doing so, New Orleans was able to slow the onslaught of Green Bay’s offense and prevent too many big plays. Second, New Orleans got their rushing attack going with Mark Ingram. Ingram ran for 172 yards and a TD. That allowed Brees to open up in the passing game and get the ball to Brandin Cooks, New Orleans awesome receiver.

Carolina’s defense is giving up 380 total yards and 135 yards per game on the ground. This could be a blow-out.

Pick: New Orleans -2.5

San Diego Chargers at Miami Dolphins
When:  Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1:00 pm ET
TV:  FOX
Betting Line:  San Diego +2.5

Analysis: It’s tough to imagine San Diego losing three games in a row. It’s equally tough to imagine the Miami Dolphins winning 3 games in a row. This comes down to which team has the better quarterback because the defenses and running backs are a wash.

If that’s the case, there’s no doubt which team wins the game straight up, much less covers the spread, the dog in this matchup, San Diego. Ryan Tannehill was horrendous against Jacksonville when completing only 16 of 29 passes for 196 yards and throwing a single touchdown and a pick.

Phillip Rivers is good enough to control this game with his game management skills from the outset. San Diego is the play.

Pick: San Diego Super Chargers -2.5

NFL Week 9 Three-Team Parlay Picks

  • New Orleans Saints  -2.5
  • San Diego Chargers -2.5
  • Denver Broncos -3

Denver Broncos at New England Patriots
When:  Sunday, Nov. 2 at 4:25 pm ET
TV:  CBS
Betting Line:  Denver -3

Analysis: Denver? A road favorite over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots even though Brady has a 10 to 5 straight up edge over rival Peyton Manning in their head-to-head?

It makes sense. Denver has beaten the 7 and 1 Arizona Cardinals, the San Francisco 49’ers and the San Diego Chargers in 3 out of their last 4 games and they’ve covered in all 3 of those games. New England has had the pleasure of beating up on the Jets, the Bills and the Chicago Bears in 3 of their last 4 games.

Denver knows how important this contest is for home field advantage and the Broncos’ have a better defense and better running game, now that Ronnie Hillman has emerged, than the Patriots. Denver should win by at least a touchdown.

Pick: Denver -3

NFL Week 9 Four-Team Parlay Picks

  • New Orleans Saints  -2.5
  • San Diego Chargers -2.5
  • Denver Broncos -3
  • Baltimore Ravens Pk

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
When:  Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8:30 pm ET
TV:  NBC
Betting Line: PK

Analysis: It’s tough to go against the home team Steelers after they racked up 522 total yards, QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 522 yards and 6 touchdowns, and they beat a hot team like Indianapolis 51 to 34.
But Baltimore provides a whole different set of issues for Pittsburgh. The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the NFL. It allows only 346.4 yards per game and 16.4 points per. The Ravens’ offense is good enough to keep Pittsburgh’s high-flying offense off the field by controlling the clock.

Baltimore averages 375.5 yards and 27.1 points per game. The Ravens rush for 128.4 yards per and the Steelers’ D isn’t very good. Baltimore should win this game straight up.

Pick: Baltimore Ravens PK
