NHL Expert Picks Oct 30 – Nov 5

The 2017 NHL season is still under a month old, but I have a trio of amazing NHL expert betting picks to get your bankroll growing.

My first expert pick gets underway on Thursday, Nov. 2. Toronto heads to L.A. to battle the Kings. Will the Maple Leafs or the Kings come out on top?

My other two NHL expert picks are on Saturday, Nov. 4. The first match has Chicago battling Minnesota. Will Chicago get it done versus the Wild? The second match has Anaheim traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway to take on the San Jose Sharks. Can San Jose beat one of their top rivals in the Western Conference?

NHL Expert Picks Oct 30 – Nov 5

Toronto at Los Angeles
When:  Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 pm ET
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
TV: TSNT/FSWHD

Analysis: The Maple Leafs head to L.A. to battle the L.A. Kings. The Leafs are 3 and 1 in away games this season. Toronto might be tired by the time they face the Kings. The Leafs battle San Jose and Anaheim on the road earlier in the week. Could L.A. take advantage of a dispirited Toronto squad on Thursday?

I think so. As of Oct. 28, the L.A. Kings are 9-1-1 overall. L.A.’s defense allows a ridiculous 1.8 goals per match. The Kings score 3.4 goals per match. Los Angeles has a single game this week, on Oct. 30 versus St. Louis, before battling Toronto.

L.A. should get it done on Nov. 2.

Pick: Los Angeles

Chicago at Minnesota
When:  Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, MN
TV: WGN/FSN

Analysis: The Central Division is ridiculous. Both Chicago and Minnesota should be there in the end. The Problem is that St. Louis, Nashville, and Dallas are all decent teams. Even Colorado and Winnipeg have winning records as of Oct. 28.

When it comes to the Blackhawks matchup versus the Minnesota Wild, I don’t believe it’s much of a contest. These two squads battled on Oct. 12 at the United Center in Chicago. Minnesota trounced the Blackhawks 5 to 2.

Patrick Kane didn’t play in that match. Who cares? Would Kane have made up the 3-goal difference? I don’t believe so.

The Wild should hand Chicago another loss on Saturday.

Pick: Minnesota

Anaheim at San Jose
When:  Saturday, Nov. 4 at 10:30 pm ET
Where: SAP Center, San Jose, CA
TV: FSW2/CSNCAL

Analysis: This is an important match because L.A. and Vegas are running away with the Pacific Division. Anaheim beat San Jose 2 to 1 the last time these two teams played.

The key stat for me in that battle was San Jose out shooting Anaheim 14 to 4 in the third. Anaheim was obviously playing defense. I’m not sure that will fly in this battle on Saturday because I don’t believe the Ducks are up a goal at the beginning of the third period.

I think San Jose wins it. That’s the way I’m going.

Pick: San Jose
