These two teams have seen a lot of each other this past season, even though the Wild are the ones that have the upper hand in this 5 games series. The Jets are looking to get their second win over the Wild this year and even though they have lost the series they have a chance to pull their record up and finish the season with a winning one. Minnesota is trying as best they can to see if they can possibly make the last sport of r a chance at the post season.
Minnesota has had issues all over this season but mostly injuries to their key forwards have left them in a situations where scoring is simply very difficult. They are left with smaller guys up top, they are fast and help out great on defense , they just don’t have the physicality to fight for the rebounds close to the opposing teams net. One thing this teams does very well is protect the puck and pass it, they seem to really like to stay in control even if they have to come back over the blue line to regroup.
Winnipeg is one of those teams that recently moved and is having a hard time getting the right players in the right places. They would be the equivalent to the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA if you will… they have young, talented guys that don’t have the necessary veteran to really make things fall into place. This season would be a success if they are able to end it on the positive side. Right Wing man Blake Wheeler has really come alive for this team with 27 goals and 65 points on the year.
Pick: I actually like the underdog in this game at home, the Jets at +136 on their home ice with the chance to get a winning record… hard to say no too…
