St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks

The Leaders Of The Pack

Who can honestly tell me that they saw this coming? The Blues, leading the League this season, I´m happily impressed at this team, what they have been able to accomplish as well as the amazing work they have put into winning. The Blackhawks are in a good position but with this being the fifth and final regular season game between the two and Chicago only getting one win is not the way they want to end this.

St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks
The St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks face-off today with the Stanley Cup playoffs just around the corner.
Starts: 04/06/2014 7:00PM
United Center, 1901 West Madison St.

The Blues have improved on every level of their game; their goal keeping has been impressive, even trading for Ryan Miller in mid season from the Sabers to make sure they had the right pieces in the right places, their defense has been flush, really giving up their own bodies for the best of the team. In total this team has earned 111 points with a record of 52-17 and 7. For them to get this win over Chicago it’s going to take a defensive stand.

The Blackhawks are coming into this game down 3-1 in the overall series because of back to back shout out loses. I really think they are going to come out on beast mode, attacking the net and really playing as physical as they can. With that said they have a tendency of leaving their defense a little weak and that has been known to cause problems as the Blues are a very good counted attacking team. Chicago needs to keep their centers around the blue line, close enough for a shoot but far enough to react if something goes wrong.

Pick: I have the Blues winning this game and continuing their Hockey domination as they prepare for their top seeded franchise to hit the playoffs with a bang.
