Odds To Win The 2015 Stanley Cup – Final Four Predictions
New York Rangers +210
The Rangers haven’t been all that impressive in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sure, they beat Pittsburgh 4 to 1 in their Round 1 Series, but they needed 7 games in order to beat the Washington Capitals. New York was down 3 games to 1 against Washington. Their odds to win the Stanley Cup are much lower than they should be because they take on the tough Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals. That’s not to say that the Rangers can’t win the Stanley Cup. It’s to say that it won’t be easy. This is the NHL. Taking +210 on a team to beat Tampa Bay and then to go on and beat Chicago or Anaheim means that you’re taking underlay odds.
Chicago Blackhawks +220
If you want to wager on one of the favorites, wager on these guys. Chicago took down Nashville in 6 games and then they swept surprise Minnesota in 4 games. The problem with all of the other teams left in the chase for the Stanley Cup is that Chicago’s Patrick Kane is now at full strength. Kane has scored at least 1 goal in Chicago’s last 5 matches. He’s got 6 goals in the Blackhawks’ last 5 matches. As long as Kane is with Chicago, the Blackhawks are the team to beat, not the New York Rangers.
Anaheim Ducks +240
Anaheim may be offering odds close to what the Rangers and the Blackhawks are offering, but this is the one team out of the Final Four that hockey bettors shouldn’t back, under any circumstances, to win the Stanley Cup. Chicago dominated Anaheim in 2 out of 3 matches during the regular season. The Ducks probably won’t get out of their series with Chicago.
Tampa Bay Lightning +475
Tampa Bay is the team to back. First, they’re offering the best odds out of all four teams. They’re actually offering more than double odds compared to Anaheim, Chicago and New York. The Lightning went 3 and 0 versus the Rangers during the regular season and went 1 and 1 against Chicago. They beat Anaheim twice in 2 games during the regular season. Why are these guys the longest shot on the board? Back them and cash.
