Christmas and hockey go hand-in-hand and this week there are some doozy NFL games to bet on win big bucks. Let’s get started.
Boston takes on Pittsburgh on Dec. 18 in my first best bet in the NHL this week. Both of the pre-season favorites to make the playoffs have winning records. In the second best bet game of the week, Los Angeles travels to Toronto to battle the lowly Maple Leafs. L.A. has one of the better teams in all of NHL. Will Toronto catch the Kings in a trap? In Sunday’s best NHL bet of the week, Washington travels to New York to take on the Rangers.
Picking Winning NHL Bets – Twas The Week Before Christmas
Boston at Pittsburgh
When: Friday, Dec. 18
Boston won 3 out of 4 to start the week. One of the wins was a 2 to 0 sloshing of the rival Canadians on Dec. 9. The Bruins have gone 7 and 3 in their last 10. They’re looking mighty tough to start this week. Pittsburgh hasn’t been nearly as effective on the ice as Boston recently. The Penguins start the week having gone 4 and 6 in their last 10. Pittsburgh starts the week by taking on the Capitals on Dec. 14 before battling Boston on Dec. 16 in Boston. This is going to be a tough week for Pittsburgh. Boston should win both battles.
Los Angeles at Toronto
When: Saturday, Dec. 19
Toronto doesn’t look like they’ll have much of a shot. But, the Kings had better bring their A game because they take on Toronto after 2 road games against Ottawa and Montreal. Ottawa shouldn’t be much of a challenge. The Canadians are beat up. They’re a much tougher team at home and could push the Kings hard. If that happens, the door will open for Toronto, who starts the week off of 2 straight wins including a beautiful 4 to 0 blistering of the tough St. Louis Blues on the road on Dec. 5.
Washington at NY Rangers
When: Sunday, Dec. 20
This could be the Game of the Week. The Capitals have gone 8 and 2 in their last 10 to start the week. They’re ranked third in defense in goals against at 2.2 per match and fifth in goals for per match at 3.0. The Rangers are 18-5-2 to start the week, but they’ve lost 5 out of their last 6 including dropping their last 3 in a row. NYR did beat Washington 5 to 2 on Nov. 3. To make things tougher for the Capitals, the Rangers are 12-4-1 at home this season. They should handle the hot Capitals on Sunday.
Pick: New York Rangers
