NHL Must Watch Games Feb 3-9

NHL Picks Nov 5-11

The 2018-9 NHL season is in its second month and I have a trio of sports betting bankroll busting free NHL picks for the week of November 5th to the 11th. Let’s get started.

NHL Picks Nov 5-11

New York Islanders at Tampa Bay Lightning
When: Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Amalie Arena, Tampa, FL

Analysis: Surprisingly, the Islanders continue to lead the deep Metropolitan Division. They’re about a game ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins heading into Nov. 4. NYI averages 3.2 goals per while allowing only 2.3. They’re at Atlantic Division leader Tampa Bay on Thursday. Tampa’s pretty good at home going 5-2. The Lightning rank sixth in goals per at 3.5 and seventh in goals allowed per at 2.7.

Although the Islanders have a shot, it’s hard to see them beating the Lightning on Tampa’s ice. Tampa Bay should pull out a close victory by a goal on Thursday.

Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning

Nashville Predators at Dallas Stars
When: Saturday, Nov.10 at 2:00 pm ET
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX

Analysis: Nashville’s 11-3 as of Nov. 4 because they have one of the top defenses in NHL. Predators only allow an average of 2.1 goals per. Goalie Pekka Rinne ranks first in shutouts with 3 on the season.

With Rinne stopping goals, Dallas could have a hard time keeping this close. However, the Stars allow only 2.6 goals per. Heading into the week, the Stars have been hot, winning 5 of their last 6 and 3 in a row.

Dallas is 5-2 at home. They shouldn’t be huge favorites on Saturday and might even offer underdog odds. Backing the Stars makes sense.

Pick: Dallas Stars

Vegas Golden Knights at Boston Bruins
When: Sunday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA

Analysis: No team appears headed to running away with the Pacific Division. Vegas can get back into the race for the division, but to do so, they must start turning games where they’re competitive into actual wins.

Vegas should play Boston competitively. Can they get the “W”? The Golden Knights are great at holding opponents to under 3 goals per. They only rank thirtieth in goals per on offense, though. The Golden Knights battle a Bruins squad that’s close to their rankings in goals allowed per and goals per.

Vegas could turn one of their good efforts into a victory as a nice dog on Sunday.

Pick: Vegas Golden Knights
