Revenge Is Best Served Cold As Ice

This is going to be as great game as the Canadiens travel to LA to face the Kings in their last regular season game between one another. The Kings dominated the Canadiens in their first outing scoring 6 goals and shutting Montreal out. Not only was that embarrassing but it was on the Canadiens home ice, so you can bet that Montreal will bring some added momentum into this game to try and even things out.

NHL – Montreal Canadiens vs. Los Angeles Kings
The Montreal Canadiens and the Los Angeles Kings face-off on Monday Night in the NHL.
Starts: 03/03/2014 7:00PM
STAPLES Center, 1111 South Figueroa Street
Los Angeles, California

I expect the Canadiens to play it safe and come out with their traditional 2-3-3 line holding back and not gambling early. I think after watching the way they played in the first games, they will move to attack quickly, passing the puck around and getting everyone involved. My play would be the over 5 goals -125, they have a score to settle and they need this win.

The Kings need to keep their winning ways up as they have won 4 of their last 6 in their run for the last playoff seed in what has been a much shortened season due to the lockout. The Kings have a little more of an attacking mindset then they deal with things if there is a counter attack. For Los Angeles, playing solid defense will be important; not turning the puck over in their own area will be greatly appreciated by their goalie as well as taking the puck up the boards and looking for a rebound to push in.

I like the over in this game because both teams need this win and are offensive mindsets, it’s almost like saying the Warriors vs. the Nuggets game in the NBA with a total of 150… you just know it’s going over.
