For the Lighting this game is about more than just coming out with a win. They look to avenge one of their worst losses of their season that took place back in mid-November of last year when the Coyotes traveled to Tampa and beat the Lightning 6-3. Tampa is making a big push to really get a decent seed spot in this season playoffs but first thing is first, beat Phoenix and set things right.
The Coyotes have yet again not played to their full potential, they have a decent team with guys like Ribeiro who has 43 points this season Vermette who has scored 22 goals but their main problem is inconsistencies; their defense is shaky and have allowed the first score in 7 of their last 10 games. This team needs to also be faster on offense, they need to really push their way around the net to get the rebounds that are in scoring range. This could be a great game for them to steal from a talented Tampa team.
The Lighting are really pushing their way through teams, they have won 6 of their last 8 games and seem to have stepped things up in the shootout department since the Olympics. Tampa needs to remain focused and go one game at a time, they also need to really get their center guys involved more and passing the puck back to set up again is not a bad thing. They are the big favorites in this game at almost 2/1 and at that price I will stay away, but I love the over 4.5 goals -125, these two teams can score and it think this will be a close one.
