Quick Series Recap:
Game 1: Blackhawks 2 Lightning 1 (Chicago Leads Series 1-0)
Game 2: Lightning 4 Blackhawks 3 (Series Tied 1-1)
The Tampa Bay Lightning Will Beat the Chicago Blackhawks If
Goalie Ben Bishop can stay in net for a full 60 and continue his road winning ways.
After losing 1 to 2 to Chicago in Game 1, the Lightning bounced back in Game 2 by beating the Blackhawks 4 to 3. Tampa Bay’s goalie, Ben Bishop, didn’t exactly help the Lightning to the victory as he gave up 3 goals in the game.

Bishop has a chance to bounce back in a big way on Monday. Bishop has been awesome in Tampa Bay’s last 2 road games. He shut down the Rangers on May 24 in a 2 to 0 Lightning win. Then, on May 29, he shut down the Rangers again in a 2 to 0 Tampa victory. If Bishop is able to play as well on the road versus the Blackhawks as he did versus the New York Rangers, the Lightning could escape Chicago with a 3 to 1 series lead. It starts on Monday night where Bishop knows he’ll have to be his usual road warrior self in order for Tampa to get a lead in the series.
The Chicago Blackhawks Will Beat the Tampa Bay Lightning If
The Blackhawks can score early and put the Lightning down.
How good has Chicago been so far in this series? They pulled out a miracle victory in the first game when scoring 2 goals late in the third period. In the second game, they took a 2 to 1 lead in the second period before the Lightning came back and took a 3 to 2 lead before the end of the second. Chicago found a way to tie it up in the third period only to fail 4 to 3.

The truth is that Chicago hasn’t played a complete game from the first period to the last yet in this series. If the Blackhawks ever do, they might be able to put some distance between the Lightning and them. That’s a big if, though, because if Corey Crawford is playing well in goal, it probably means that Chicago is having trouble scoring on offense.
