This year, the sportsbooks have put more faith in Leicester City. Leicester is at 33 to 1 to win next year’s Premier League Championship. No team is at higher odds than 1,000 to 1. Leicester battles Hull City on opening day, August 13. There should be quite a bit of interest to see how well Leicester does after it’s shocking win this season.
The favorite is Manchester City at 7/4. Although City did find a way to make it to the semifinals of the Champions League, they underperformed in the Premier League. Enter new Man City Manager Pep Guardiola. Guardiola should bring a stable, versatile style to Manchester City’s squad this season. He prefers to work with 14 or 15 players that he trusts and who trusts him instead of loading up on senior players. If Guardiola’s system works, Man City should win the Premier Championship.
The big question will be whether or not Chelsea bounces back from their worst season in 10 years. Not only did Chelsea fail to defend its title this season, but it also finished 10th. Most Premier League Analysts are already writing off Chelsea’s chances of winning the title. Former Juventus manager Antonio Conte takes over. The Blues’ odds are at 11/2.
Manchester United is fourth choice at 13/2 while Arsenal is third choice at 5/1. Man United has been spending money left and right the past 2 years. None of it has led to a Premier title. Arsenal finished second to Leicester City this season. If Arsenal can sign a big time striker, they could be the team to upset Man City.
