Cerrone Could Get His Title Shot With A Win Here

Both of these fighters are on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, Cerrone is known for is amazingly fast submission skills while Alvarez is known for his pure knockout power. Both fighters are coming into this fight with a very set game plane, for Donald Cerrone it will be to take the fight to the ground and make Alvarez beat him on his back while Eddie will want this fight to stay standing as long as possible giving him the best chance of landing his known over hand right.

The Cowboy Cerrone in my opinion is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the UFC, he is ruthless and calculating, many have underestimated his striking power which he uses a lot to set his opponents up for the submission. Cerrone is riding a 4 fight win streak against a few of the top fighters of his division and the four losses he has are against top 5 fighters. I think that Cerrone will mix things up and actually stay on his feet for the first round to really exchange with Alvarez and give the fans what they want.

Eddie the Silent Assassin Alvarez is a killer at heart; he pours it on his opponent, overpowering them with his speed and killer accuracy. Alvarez also has skills on the ground as he was a wrestler in college but seems to have found his calling with his fists. I expect Eddie to push the tempo in this fight, keep his distance from the ground attack and use his leg kicks to create space in the middle of the octagon.

I do not see this fight going the distance at all.. I see a knockout in the first half of the second round, there is too much fire power between both fighters in this one to go all three rounds. This will be an actin packed fight from the opening bell and expect a bloody one as well. In the end I have Cerrone getting the win because of his recent activity and grappling defense off his back.
