Who Will Be The 2014 World Cup Top Goal Scorer?

  • Lionel Messi – Argentina – 15/2
  • Neymar – Brazil -10/1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo – Portugal – 12/1
  • Sergio Aguero – Argentina – 14/1
  • Luis Suarez -Uruguay – 16/1
  • Edinson Cavani – Uruguay – 20/1
  • Thomas Muller – Germany – 33/1
  • Mario Balotelli – Italy – 40/1

Will Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo or Aguero win the Golden Boot Award?

In a whopping seven of the 19 World Cups to date, the Golden Boot winner’s team has played in the final, so, I expect Brazil ‘s Neymar to have a great shot to win this year’s award. The Brazilians are playing at home and this could put them – and Neymar in the winner’s circle on more than one count.

Two more of my favorites to win the Golden Boot award are, in order, Argentina ‘s Lionel Messi and teammate Sergio Aguero. In the case of Messi, this guy can score the ball from just about anywhere on the pitch while Seguero recently said that Messi “dreams of being like him” so clearly he’s not lacking in the confidence – or goal-scoring departments.

Watch This ‘Sleeper’ Goal Scorer!

Last but not least, I really like 2010 Golden Boot winner, Germany ‘s Thomas Muller. The still, just 24-year-old will have another outstanding chance to win this award even if he is down on the odds list a bit because of a lack of confidence from oddsmakers.

Back in 210, when he was just 20 years old, Muller and Germany stunned the world – and I believe it could happen again – though it wouldn’t be much of a ‘stunner’ this time around.

Odds To Be Player Of The Tournament For The 2014 World Cup

  • Neymar 6/1
  • Lionel Messi 15/2
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 12/1
  • Luis Suarez 20/1
  • Andres Iniesta 25/1
  • Eden Hazard 25/1
  • Franck Ribery 25/1
  • Mesut Ozil 25/1
  • Sergio Aguero 25/1

Who Will Be Named Player of the Tournament?

Personally, I like one of the game’s elite goal scorers to take home this hardware, but can see it being someone that’s not totally ‘on the radar’ as well. I like Thomas Muller, Seergio Aguero, Neymar or the beloved Ronaldo here.

Winner/Top Goal Scorer Double

  • Argentina/Sergio Aguero 33/1
  • Brazil/Neymar 16/1
  • Brazil/Lionel Messi 25/1
  • Germany/Cristiano Ronaldo 80/1
  • Spain/Luis Suarez 125/1

Will one of the above five ‘Double’ results play out?

The above five selections are among my top handful of picks for this potentially payday-producing winner/goal scorer double wager. Of course, since I picked Germany ‘s Thomas Muller to win the Golden Boot, then my ultimate selection isn’t on the board here, but you get the idea!
